About Trish Mullen
I’m Trish Mullen, your Career Coach at The Job Seekers’ Coach. I’m a professional, award-winning Career Coach with many successes over 20 years, helping others reach their full job and career potential.
Since 2000, I’ve been working as a certified Coaching Professional who specializes in helping people cope with their issues. I coach my clients in a way that utilizes both their heads and their hearts. I first learned about coaching when I hit a roadblock in my own life and was struggling to move past it. The techniques I developed were so successful that friends and family began asking me for help with their own challenges. This motivated me to turn my newfound passion into a full-time career. If you have any questions about my methods, or would like to schedule a 30 minute free consultation, please get in touch today.
I believe that everyone has something to offer the world of employment, whether that be in a regular job or through entrepreneurship. It all comes down to aligning your passion with what others are looking for. This has a lot more to do with attitude rather than skills, although they are important too.
I strive to help people realise their potential and that is my motivation each and every time. Don’t settle for less than you are worth, and I don’t just mean in financial terms.
We’re not taught in school or college how to carry out job search, not really. We may have been shown how to write a general CV or Resume but that just isn’t enough in today’s employment market.
Each and every application has to be specifically targeted to both the role and the employer. How do you do that? Well, that’s what I’m here for and will show you exactly how you do that plus so much more you wouldn’t even have thought of.
I’m going to give you job search skills for life, and not just to get that first job!
Do you struggle to understand what your personal brand is?
I help job seekers, just like you, find what makes them unmistakable and turn that into words, content, and a marketing approach that confidently increases their chances at each step of the job search process.
Location a problem?
No problem as I work with you via Zoom so it doesn’t matter where in the world you are, I can help you!
What is a Job Search Strategy and is there such a thing?
I’ve created a type of job search mastery that, providing you follow the steps, you can quickly and easily make your job application stand out from all the others. It’s designed for the frustrated job seeker who is sick of spending so much time on applications and getting nothing back!
This means adopting a structure each time you apply which, once fully understood, can be used over and over again when applying for a new role or promotion with your current organisation.
No longer will the prospect of moving jobs overwhelm you; no longer will you be firing out non-targeted applications that result in nothing and no longer will that ‘imposter syndrome’ take over where you constantly tell yourself you can’t do this job as you’re not good enough!
I got into Job Search coaching because it was obvious to me, from sifting applications and interviewing hundreds of people for roles, that the skills I had are so needed out there.
Why isn’t this skill taught in schools or colleges?
I can’t answer that question except with an opinion and that is this basic lifeskill should be taught to every teenager whilst they’re in school.
Job Search education is badly lacking and I want to bring that education to the masses. I want to make sure that your application stands out from all the others. I want you to be confident that you just ‘get this’ and when you ‘get it’, it then becomes a life skill and one you can adopt and adapt over and over again.
Will you write my CV for me?
In the most respectful way – no! Not because I don’t want to, or can’t, but Job search and applications is something you will do many, many times in your working years and it’s a skill that everyone should master. As each role requires a different CV, this means if you’re applying for 3-4 different jobs, that is 3-4 different CVs and cover letters you will need. This is why you need to learn this skill.
I will help you fully understand the process that’s involved in it. I want you to know you don’t have to go this alone and leave everything to chance, I can definitely help you.
What if I get a bit stuck with all of this?
I will hold you accountable in taking action to land your dream job and, providing you do that, I will be there to hold your hand every step of the way. We are in this together and I will help you understand what your transferable skills are before we start on anything else.
Why should you trust me?
I am very genuine and honest and only want the best for everyone and this includes people being happy in their job. Let’s face it, we spend more time there than we do with friends and family, so why not find a job that is right for you, one that you will be happy in and go in each day with a spring in your step…….Ok, that’s maybe asking too much, but you know what I mean 🙂 Check out my testimonials on this site.
The majority of people don’t fully understand or appreciate that each and every role requires a different application. Long gone are the days when the same CV or Resume could be sent to more than one employer. Each employer should be made to feel when your application lands in their inbox, that they are your employer of choice. This is regardless of how many applications you have out there; you can still make them feel this way.
How do you do that? This is what I’ll walk you through.
